Everyone I know gives me #$%^@ because nearly 20 years after seeing my last show, 90% of the time I'm still listening to the good ol' Grateful Dead.

However, this year I have turned on to a couple of new bands, among them BLR Trio, Grace Potter, JJ Grey & Mofro, The Legendary JCs, and a great south Florida band (where I live) called SUENALO!

someone recently told me about a southern California band called Roman Alexander & the Robbery; I just finished listening to them on mypace and am really impressed! Would appreciate hearing others thoughts & opinions on their sound.

If the first song doesn't do anything for you, hang in there for a few more songs, as they've got a couple of different sounds going on.

Roman Alexander & the Robbery are about as entertaining as the Partridge Family only less talented. If the capt's suggestion doesnt do it for you, try this...

"are about as entertaining as the Partridge Family"

Cliffie, I know you were being flippant and probably were picturing the TV show when you wrote it but the Partridge Family's music was actually provided by The Wrecking Crew, a loose configuration of L.A. session musicians that included Leon Russell, Dr. John, and Glen Campbell.

And, if "Echo Valley 2-6809" don't make you misty, well, then you're just a cold-hearted bastard. :>

"I know you were being flippant..."

Not this time. I actually do think the music of The Partridge Family is more compelling than Roman Alexander & the Robbery...

Wow! just when I was pondering my next epic thread you hit me with this, like homework during my listening hour. Try this Fox Theatre instead ...
